Setting Up Your Profile


Your Profile is where Nekst keeps your contact info, photo, signature, timezone, and (for Team Pro users) which roles you're automatically assigned on new transactions.


Open it from Settings → Profile in the left sidebar.


Contact information


Fill in the fields at the top:


  • First Name and Last Name (required)
  • Primary Email (required) — the address Nekst sends notifications to and the one tied to your login. To change it, reach out through chat — it requires an admin update on our side, since the email is tied to integrations and other account data.
  • Alternate Email — an optional secondary inbox
  • Company Name and Website


Phone numbers


Add one or more phone numbers. For each:


  • Type (Mobile, Office, etc.)
  • Number
  • Primary — mark which number is the default for SmartTags and display
  • Receive SMS — flag the number that should receive SMS task messages


Click + Add to add additional numbers.


Profile photo


Upload your photo (the icon in the top right of the Profile page) so it shows on transactions and in the Client Portal. Team members see each other's photos, and your client sees yours in their portal.


Mailing address


Fill in Address Line 1 (required), Line 2, City (required), State, and Zip (required). The address is available as SmartTags for documents and the Client Portal.


Custom Email Signature


Your signature shows at the bottom of every email Nekst sends. Build it once and Nekst inserts it automatically via the #signature.sender SmartTag in your email tasks.


You have two ways to build a signature:


Option 1: WYSIWYG editor


Build your signature manually using the editor — type text and paste images or links directly from your email client.


  • Copy (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C)
  • Paste (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V)




For a clean, consistent signature that matches your Gmail or Outlook signature exactly, check Use Plain HTML Signature and paste HTML from a signature generator like WiseStamp. This keeps images crisp.



The Signature Preview below the textarea shows what recipients will see.


Timezone


Select your timezone. Nekst uses this for:


  • The morning send window for auto-sent emails and SMS (between 8–9 AM in your timezone)
  • Daily Email Update delivery
  • Date and time display across the app


Auto-Assign Role(s) — Team Pro only


If you're on a Team Pro account, specify which roles you should be auto-assigned on new transactions. When you (or someone on your team) creates a transaction, any role listed here gets you assigned to that transaction's tasks tied to those roles.


Check Add to every Transaction when created to automatically attach yourself to every new transaction regardless of role.


Save your changes


Click Update at the bottom of the Profile page. Changes take effect immediately.
