# Holidays, Business Days & Weekends

Nekst can schedule task deadlines around federal holidays, business days, and weekends so every due date matches your contract terms.

### Holidays

Agents in the US or Canada can shift all deadlines out one additional day to account for federal holidays. Turn this on only if holidays are exempt under your contract.

### Business Days

Schedule tasks by business days instead of calendar days, so deadlines stay accurate to the contract. Business Days is available on the **Workflows** page when creating a task; tasks created directly on a transaction use a calendar date.

Note: if **Business Days** is selected, the "If weekend, shift to" option doesn't apply.

### Weekend shifting

Set weekend tasks to fall on the **Friday before** or the **Monday after**, so a deadline never lands on a weekend.
